Ginger (Zingiber
officinale) root is actually a rhizome, a root like
underground stem. It has a delicious spicy taste and has long
been used as a popular healthful herb. Ginger ale is often
used as a soothing beverage. However, much of today's ginger
ale only contains sugar and flavors, but no ginger root. Only
a few health food brands of ginger ales have real ginger in
them. A convenient way to get real ginger is with Triple Leaf
Tea's Ginger Tea made with 100% ginger root. You get the
maximum flavorful amount of delicious, spicy ginger with
Triple Leaf Ginger Tea. Many other ginger teas are made with
multiple other herbs and ginger.
Customers
tell us that they love the taste of our tea. Sara Solovitch,
in an article "Vomiting, no fever means bad food" in
the San Jose Mercury News (11/26/97), wrote: "I recently
discovered a powerful tea bag from Triple Leaf Tea that uses
100 percent ginger root. It's become our new family favorite;
my kids love it with honey. If it is too strong for your
child's taste, you can dilute it with a little apple
juice."
Ginger
is beneficial in many ways. Anna MacIntosh, PhD and Kathleen
German, M.S., N.D., L Ac. in their article: "Soothing
Ginger" Great Life Magazine, June 1998, wrote: "In
early writings from India, ginger and pepper were classified
as cleansing and rejuvenating herbs, suggesting that ginger
may be beneficial for many body systems."
Ginger is naturally caffeine-free, making it a
good choice of beverage any time of day. It makes a delicious
hot tea, and is equally good iced.
