Teas
Iced
Green Tea
Pour one cup of boiling water over two
tea bags, let steep for 3 to 5 minutes (5 to 10 minutes
or longer for the Decaf Green Tea with Ginseng or Ginkgo
& Decaf Green Tea). For stronger flavor, steep longer,
or use more tea bags. Remove and squeeze out tea bags.
Add ice and enjoy. Make a larger quantity using more
tea bags and water, and refrigerate the rest to drink
throughout the day.
Green
Tea Concentrate
Make green tea concentrate ahead of time to prepare
hot or iced tea at a moments notice. Pour one cup of
boiling water over three tea bags, let steep for 3 to
5 minutes (5 to 10 minutes or longer for the Decaf Green
Tea with Ginseng or Ginkgo & Decaf Green Tea). Remove
and squeeze out the tea bags. Refrigerate until ready
to use. Add 2/3 cup of water to every 1/3 cup of concentrate
to reconstitute your tea; heat just until hot for hot
tea, or add ice for iced tea.
Green
Tea Recipes
Use any Triple Leaf Green or Decaf Green Teas in recipes
calling for green tea. You can experiment and see which
one you like the best.
Fruit

Black
Tea: Cholesterid - Yunnan Tuocha Tea
Iced
Black Tea
Pour one cup of boiling water over two

Ginger
Tea (100% ginger root)
Ginger-Ale
Brew a cup of very strong Triple Leaf
Ginger Tea by adding two tea bags to one cup of boiling
water and boil for a couple minutes. Let steep 5 to
10 minutes, or longer, then remove and squeeze out the
tea bags, add some honey and stir. Add a little lemon
juice, some sparkling mineral water and ice for a delightful
beverage. Re-use the ginger tea bags for maximum benefit
and to extract all of their spicy taste.
Grated
or Chopped Ginger in Recipes
Use Triple Leaf 100% Ginger Root Tea
whenever you need grated or chopped fresh or dried ginger
in a recipe. Simply open a tea bag, remove the ginger,
and use it as is. If your recipe calls for fresh ginger,
remember to use less dried ginger, since dried is more
concentrated. Try ¹ to 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger from
the tea bag when your recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of
fresh ginger.

longer, then remove and squeeze out the tea bag, let
cool, and use in place of some of the liquid in your
smoothie. Re-use your ginseng tea bags to get the maximum
benefit.
Vegetable
Juice With Ginseng

Reviews
of Triple Leaf Tea's Green Teas
On
page 140, Nadine reviews Triple Leaf Tea's Green Teas.
An excerpt follows:
"Green
(Premium) Tea. Refreshing and bracing, this tea is the
real thing just tea leaves, nothing added. The resultant
brew is greenish-golden color with a satisfying, delicious,
and mildly astringent taste."
"Jasmine
Green Tea. This light and fragrant green tea really
smells like flowers, and its yellow-green brew goes
down smoothly without a hint of bitterness. "
The
three decaf green tea/tea blends were not available
at the time this book was written, so were not included
in her review.

Soothing Soup

"Most
of us intuitively eat differently during a cold or flu,
avoiding heavy meals in favor of comforting foods like
soup. This recipe not only brings a sense of warmth
to the tummy but it also gives the immune system a boost.
"
Simmer:
one-half cup cut carrots
one-half cup cut beets
two-inch piece of ginger root in enough water to make
a thin soup
(or use 1 to 2 tea bags of Triple Leaf Tea's 100 % Ginger
Root Tea:
simply open the tea bags, remove the ginger inside and
use as is)
1. When the vegetables and ginger are tender
but not mushy, add
one cup of chopped greens such as kale or spinach.
2. Liberally spice the soup with 2 to 3 cloves
chopped garlic just before serving.
3. Avoid cooking the garlic as it will decrease
its cold-fighting power.
